August 5, 2005, Indianapolis --  Tim Barber drove his #28 Pierson Racing Silver Crown car hard at Indianapolis Raceway Park in the J.D. Byrider 100.  Qualifying 17th in a field sprinkled with NASCAR Cup and Bush Series regulars.
The race ran for 91 green laps, during which time Tim passed NASCAR Cup drivers Carl Edwards and Kasey Kahne, rising to 4th place.  On lap 91 out came the first caution of the race, with under 10 laps to go caution laps do not count.  There were 14 yellow flag laps which created a fuel problem for Tim.  He was forced to pit for fuel from his 4th place position, finishing 14th.
This was Tim’s last scheduled Silver Crown race for this year.  Tim is headed back to Trans-Am next for Grand Prix of Denver Grand Prix, August 12-13, where he leads the GT America Championship.
